The Proof of Love by Catherine Hall nominated for the London Book Award and shortlisted for the Green Carnation Prize

Fiction Uncovered is pleased to announce that one of our 2011 titles, The Proof of Love by Catherine Hall, has been nominated for the London Book Award 2012 and shortlisted for the Green Carnation Prize 2011.

The London Book Award is part of the London Awards for Art and Performance, which recognize artists who have made an outstanding contribution to their art. The shortlist will be announced in June 2012. In an interview with Catherine Hall for the London Book Award, she discusses her inspirations for The Proof of Love, her second novel—her farming childhood in the Lake District, her father’s study of maths, and Thomas Hardy—and how her background in documentary filmmaking influences her work.

The Green Carnation Prize launched last year and is the UK’s first literary award celebrating the very best in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender writing. The Proof of Love is published by Portobello Books.
